Gingerbread cookies

Fragrant gingerbread cookies that will complement any holiday table.

  • 4 eggs
  • 400 g of sugar
  • 10 tablespoons of milk
  • 8 spoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon gingerbread spice
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 200 g Zdenka butter
  • a pinch of salt
  • 900 g of flour

Ingredients for the glaze:

  • Egg white
  • 250 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Mix eggs and sugar over low heat. Add milk, honey, gingerbread spice, cinnamon, Zdenka butter, baking soda and a pinch of salt. Add smooth flour to the room temperature mixture. Leave the dough to cool for a couple of hours, then divide it into four equal parts.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out the gingerbread with molds. Bake at 180 °C for about 10 minutes.

Make the glaze from egg white, powdered sugar and lemon. Decorate the gingerbread as desired.
